The sable antelope, known for its striking appearance, features males with distinctive black coats contrasting with the reddish-brown coloration of the females.

Standing tall, males can reach shoulder heights of up to 1.4 meters and weigh up to 250 kilograms, making them a majestic sight in the African savannas. Their impressive horns, which can grow up to 1.64 meters in length, curve backward and are prominently ringed. Both males and females bear these horns, although they are more robust in the males.
